This will be the official notice board for the CLSA Herding Cats Regatta on Oct. 4th, Sept. 21st, Oct. 4th, 2025.

Amendments to the Sailing Instructions and schedule of races will be posted here.

If racing is cancelled, the race committee boat will be parked in its slip and fly a skull and crossbones flag or X-ray flag. Attempts will be made to reach competitors on VHF Channel 68 or by text message. 

First warning signal will be at 13:00 or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you're launching from anywhere at the marina (ramp or beach), be sure to pay your $10 launch fee.

As of 8 AM on race day, the forecast calls for very light winds.  The race committee will decide by noon if races will be held.  If race will be held, the race committee boat will leave the harbor and set a course.  

If racing is cancelled, the race committee boat will be parked in its slip and fly a skull and crossbones flag or X flag   Attempts will be made to reach competitors on VHF Channel 68 or by text message. 

If races are held, the course will be in the small pool near the Clinton Marina.  First warning signal will be at 1:00 or as soon as possible thereafter.  No race will be started after 3:00.

Amendment 1.  The Center Start course shall be used.

Amendment 2.  If three or more catamarans join the races, a "butterfly" course may be used for the catamarans.  This course, if used, will include additional marks to the far left and far right of the normal course.  Those marks are to be disregarded by other boats.
