Clinton Lake Sailing Association

The CLSA board voted on June 15 to require distance race organizers to drop a race mark away from the shallow ridge in the large basin. This mark must be rounded to starboard when sailing towards the dam and must be rounded to port when sailing back towards the club. The new route towards the dam is shown in green on the image. The previous route shown in red often resulted in boat damage because the shortest course regularly took boats over known shallow water hazards.
